Genesis House Benefit Concert: Live from the Sanctuary

On April 20th at the Hippie Jack Farm, COARM is hosting a non-ticketed, pre-festival Sanctuary Show to raise money, awareness, and collect donations for the Genesis House, Inc. of the Upper Cumberland.

Genesis House is a non-profit organization that provides free and confidential services to victims and survivors of domestic abuse and sexual violence.

We offer FREE camping on Friday the 19th and Saturday the 20th

The Yardbirds Food Truck of Cookeville will be our food vendor.

Refreshments will be provided by Jig Head Brewing Company

Some Information about Genesis House:

Located in Cookeville and serving the surrounding 9 counties

Our mission is to promote the general welfare of victims of domestic and sexual violence by providing shelter, goods and services while helping them find safety in their lives and the self-sufficiency and healing needed to become independent. To this end, it is also our mission to enlighten the community in the dynamics of domestic and sexual abuse and its prevention by providing comprehensive educational programs.

We are always in need of pillows, towels, hygiene products, diapers, paper towels, and toliet paper, all general personal care items, also TVs and food….

Last year, we were one of 3 shelters statewide that were over 100% capacity. We received an equipment grant which has allowed us to increase our capacity from 14 to 21. And no surprise, we are staying full! While we increased our capacity, we have not received any additional funding to provide more services, food, or personal care items.
