The band's name has been synonymous with cutting-edge excellence in acoustic music circles since the group's creation in 1999. Mountain Heart's musical virtuosity, unmatched energy, and keen sense of entertainment dynamics have helped them to forge a highly unique sound, and stage show, which appeals to an incredibly wide variety of musical tastes. They have appeared on the revered Grand Ole Opry in excess of 130 times and have shared the stage with acts ranging from Lynyrd Skynyrd to the Avett Brothers.

Willie Sugarcapps brings the smoke at Jammin’ at Hippie Jack's outdoor stage

 

There is a very strange chemistry between the five distinct musicians that inspires a repertoire of songs demanding to be documented. Birthed from the swamps of the Frog Pond, Willie Sugarcapps consists of Grayson Capps, Will Kimbrough, Corky Hughes, Sugarcane Jane and Anthony Crawford. Together they create impeccable songs imbued by relaxed preformances, angelic harmonies and country zen sentiment. Band members often take turns singing lead as they switch up between fiddle, banjo, mandolin, lap steel, bass and even ukulele.

Only Nashville could give birth to such a band: a group of seasoned veterans. The SteelDrivers have been nominated for three Grammys and IBMA awards. Bringing together country, soul and other contemporary influences to create an unapologetic hybrid that is as old as the hills but as fresh as the morning dew. This is new music with the old feel.

Not just a singer-songwriter pouring his heart and soul into his music, Chuck is also a storyteller who weaves songs out of the tales of small southern towns and the roads he has traveled. Charlyhorse is what Americana music strives to be, “Vivid stories in sound, populated by trailer- park queens, hellfire preachers, shuttered cotton mills and down-home philosophers”

Ashley Cleveland is a three-time Grammy and two-time Dove award winner who has released eight critically acclaimed albums. Few artist have achieved such a compelling fusion of gospel, blues, and rock. Cleveland resides in Nashville with her husband Kenny Greenberg.

Josh Farrow is an American singer/song writer who hails from the heart of music city. Farrow's rootsy songs and captivating performances draw remnants of styles past and present. He has shared the stage with legendary artists such as Leon Russell, Shawn Colvin, and Butch Walker.

Sweet Back Sisters tear the stage to splinters at Jammin’ at Hippie Jack's fall festival

 

The Sweetback Sisters may not be blood relations, but their family-style harmonies recall the best of country music from the Everlys to the Judds, as well as the spirited rockabilly energy of Wanda Jackson. The rollicking country swing of the Sweetback Sisters is as infectious as it is heartbreaking.

The Bar Stool Romeos are a honky Tonk rock & roll band from Knoxville, Tennessee. They boast an array of classic country originals with an occasional cover that screams “old school”. The palette of experience, mixed with the real-life, working-man personas of each band member creates a unique sound that truly speaks to fans and critics.

The Bus Driver Tour has collected gems from across the states, whether it's the big sound of Montana’s endless sky or the timeless Appalachian fiddle, they create an authentic blend of energy and honesty.

 


#1013 Sierra Hull

Sierra Hull and her band take the stage in Livingston, Tennessee

 

Sierra Hull began playing the mandolin at the age of 8, put out her first album at 10 and at 11 she was mentored and befriended by Alison Krauss. Now at 23, Hull's already earned considerable respect in the bluegrass world, as a singer, songwriter and mandolin player. Her music has taken her all around the world from Japan to Jerusalem to some of the most prestigious venues in the U.S. including The Grand Ole Opry, Carnegie Hall and The White House.
