Camping Reservations SOON!
Thank you for your patience regarding the online sales of campsites and tickets. We will be posting on our website and sending a newsletter soon with the exact date for campsite and ticket information -
As we told many of you in September, we will now offer the opportunity to reserve campsites. For $30 you can purchase your campsite in one of the several sections that make Hippie Jack's the adventure it is. For a little more than 7 dollars a night you can have a home on the farm that reflects your taste in location. Be near the bonfire, or TurtleTown. Camp next to the Flea Market Hustlers and play music all night, or head on down to ScrappyTown and be part of an excellent adventure. As soon as you reserve your campsite, you can relax and know that it will be there for you when you arrive in May. You'll be able to enjoy a leisurely set up and start cookin'....in more ways than one.
Live at the Tennessee State Museum

Thanksgiving
Thanks......Giving
A great time to give. Give food to friends, give time to strangers, give love to others. Many find themselves volunteering at church or with some group who chooses today to help the less fortunate. This is a very good thing. Many lessons are learned, and memories are lasting and important. A great time to show your children something they don’t always see. The even more important lesson is this. There are always those in need. I have yet to read the history book or novel about the age of no poor people. The poor are the constant...not the amount not the percentage, but the fact that they will “always be with us”. The variable is how we view them, and what we decide as a society is appropriate to do about it. It is my absolute belief that those asking do the work and those giving get the prize.
If you spend your day at the
“will work for food” job site
on some cold urban off ramp
with your dog and your knapsack
If your needing a drink or a large hit of crack
are you less of a person , would God give you back
to the timeless machine and the cold closed in walls
as RR once said, he could show me the worthless
from inside the car. if you get out they’ll curse us
I’d be willing to wager, I’d be willing to bet it
that those born on third base will never quite get it
even when one of their own ends up at the bottom
it must be by choice...to want something for nothing
if he makes enough asking to get a room at the flop house
with a bottle of vodka and some chicken and french fries
don’t look at his face, don’t look at his old eyes
if you do you might glimpse some post dated anguish
some empathy lost some gratitude found
with your head on your shoulders
and your feet on the ground
- Hippie

The TV series, Jammin at Hippie Jack's, started airing in 2007 on WCTE, our local PBS affiliate in Middle Tennessee. In 2009, the series began distribution through NETA and made available to every PBS station in the country. Our national audience includes almost 40% of the country including over 112 million people in 22 states. Check out our current season
At first we recorded our TV shows without an audience. We had the stage, and the musicians did their part. But we missed the fun and energy of a live audience. Hippie suggested a music festival here on the farm and the rest is history. Great Americana music. Friendly people. Family atmosphere. Beautiful countryside. Come on, be a hippie for a weekend. Find out about our upcoming festival
